Qatar Gold with the Centurion: Via ALL Accor to oneworld Sapphire

Since August the Centurion includes ALL Accor status. What's easy to miss: Accor has a status partnership with Qatar Airways. Accor Platinum and Diamond members get Privilege Club Gold, and Qatar Gold is oneworld Sapphire.

One card, two registrations and a single flight get you hotel status and alliance status. You never earn a single Qpoint.

The chain:

• Amex Centurion brings ALL Accor Diamond (if you register by 31 December 2026, Platinum after that)
• ALL Accor Diamond or Platinum brings Qatar Privilege Club Gold
• Qatar Gold is oneworld Sapphire

Step 1: Centurion to ALL Accor Diamond

1. Open an ALL Accor account, free at all.accor.com.
2. On the Amex benefits page, open "ALL Accor Diamond Status", enter your ALL Accor number, accept the terms and confirm.
3. First name, last name and email must match exactly in both accounts. Amex sends exactly these three plus your member number to Accor. If anything differs, the registration stalls, often without a clear error.

On timing: register by 31 December 2026 and you hold Diamond until the end of 2027. On 1 January 2028 it drops to Platinum automatically. For the Qatar chain that doesn't matter, because Accor Platinum also brings Qatar Gold.

Primary cardholder only: ALL Accor Diamond and Platinum come with the main Centurion card only. Additional cardholders don't get the status, so they can't use this route to Qatar Gold either.

The only route for your partner: the Diamond gift. As a Diamond member you can gift Gold status to one person of your choice from the Diamond benefits in your ALL Accor account ("Gold status offered to the person of your choice", then "Offer"). The gifted status runs as long as yours, so if you register by the end of 2026 it lasts until 31 December 2027. You get one gift per status period, so choose carefully. Gold is the most an additional cardholder can get, and Accor Gold only brings Qatar Silver (no lounges, no Al Maha).

Step 2: Accor to Qatar Gold

1. Open a Privilege Club account, free.
2. Link both accounts on ALL Accor's Qatar partner page.
3. Take one Qatar Airways flight. Any cabin counts, economy included.
4. Gold is added once the flight posts to Privilege Club.

The mapping according to Accor:

• ALL Accor Gold becomes Privilege Club Silver
• ALL Accor Platinum becomes Privilege Club Gold
• ALL Accor Diamond becomes Privilege Club Gold

New in 2026: until 2025, Diamond even matched to Qatar Platinum (oneworld Emerald). Qatar ended that, so Gold is now the ceiling.

The quota: Qatar reportedly grants only around 3,100 Gold matches a year and publishes no counter. Take your qualifying flight early in the year.

What about Amex Platinum?

The Platinum Card, Business Platinum and Corporate Platinum in Germany bring ALL Accor Gold, not Platinum or Diamond. On Qatar that only becomes Silver (oneworld Ruby): priority check-in and small extras, but no lounges and no Al Maha. The full chain to Qatar Gold needs the Centurion, or Accor Platinum earned the hard way (60 nights or 14,000 status points).

Important if you hold both cards: your Accor status follows the last card you register. That's in the terms on the Amex registration page. How to get the most out of it

1. Al Maha meet-and-greet in Doha

The most underrated benefit. Qatar Gold includes Al Maha service at Hamad International Airport free for you and one guest, on arrival, departure and transfer. Everyone else pays for it.

• What you get: a host meets you at the aircraft with a name board, takes you through the formalities quickly and walks you to the lounge or gate, followed by priority boarding.
• Book at least 24 hours ahead through "Manage Booking" on qatarairways.com or directly with Al Maha Services. Requests inside 12 hours depend on availability.
• Request it for every leg. A Doha connection counts as a transfer. A stopover gives you an arrival and a departure, so you use it twice.
• Pick your guest deliberately. Only one is free. Travelling as three or more, book the others at the same time so you stay together.
• Limousine transfers from the aircraft to the terminal or your hotel cost extra and can be added.

2. oneworld lounges in any cabin

• As oneworld Sapphire you can use business lounges on any oneworld flight, economy included: British Airways, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, American Admirals Clubs, Finnair and more. Usually with one guest.
• In Doha on an economy ticket you use the Platinum & Gold lounge. Al Mourjan is for business-class tickets.
• Plus four guest passes a year for the Doha lounges. Save them for trips with a larger group.

3. Put companions on your booking

Free seat selection covers everyone on your booking. Put family or colleagues on one booking, not separate ones. Everyone gets free seats, and you check in together at the business counter.

4. Plan around the extra baggage

+20 kg or +1 piece on Qatar-operated flights, depending on the route. Other oneworld airlines usually add a bag for Sapphire too. That makes cheaper fares without checked baggage worth a look.

5. Don't let the 40 Qcredits expire

You get 40 Qcredits every year. Use them for upgrades on eligible economy fares, extra baggage, booking changes or extra lounge passes. An upgrade is the most valuable use when one is available on your route.

6. Standby priority

If your preferred Qatar flight is full, Gold puts you at the top of the standby list. That counts most on busy connections through Doha.

7. Earn twice

• Accor stays earn 1 Avios per euro on top of Accor points with the Diamond bonus.
• Qatar flights earn Avios with the 75% Gold tier bonus plus 1 Accor point per 2 US dollars.
• Accor points convert to Avios at 2,000 to 1,500, and Avios move between Qatar and British Airways.

8. Starlink Wi-Fi and Doha discounts

Free Starlink Wi-Fi on equipped Qatar aircraft. In Doha, 10% off other Al Maha services and 20% off the spa, golf simulator and Hydrojet at the Oryx Airport Hotel. Useful on long layovers.

What to watch

• Only the main card counts. Accor Diamond and Platinum are tied to the primary cardholder's Centurion. Additional cards are excluded, and so is the Qatar chain for them. For a second person, the only option is the Gold gift from your Diamond status, once per status period.
• The Centurion is the foundation. If the card is cancelled, Amex informs Accor, the status goes, and the easy route to Qatar Gold goes with it.
• Renewing on your own flying takes 270 Qpoints in 12 months or 540 in 24 months. Whether a matched Gold renews automatically while the Accor status stands is not clearly documented. Check your account after a year.
• The rules change. This partnership has been adjusted almost every year, and the end of the Platinum match in 2026 is just the latest example.

Verdict

For Centurion members this is one of the best side effects of the card. The effort: two registrations and one economy flight on Qatar. The return: oneworld lounges worldwide, Al Maha in Doha, free seat selection and extra baggage. What else the card costs and brings is in the Centurion cost breakdown.
